Here's a very short trick you can easily program in Ableton, using only envelope follower and EQ 8.

Applying inverse equalization curves has never been easier, as many times we look for third party plugins and other multiband sidechain compressor techniques that are quite clunky to set up.

here are the steps to get it set up:

1. drag the Envolope Follower from Max for Live -> Max Audio Effect to your source track

This will look as the below, set Parameter 1 at 50% and click on the first Map button

2. Drag an EQ Eight in the track you want the inverse eq to happen, and as the Map button from the Envelope Follower is flashing, click on the gain knob of your parametric point

3. You will start to see the dynamic eq bouncing now, allowing for multiple parameters to be set, such as Q, Frequency range, scale and others.

If you need more control over the automation curve, and you need a more abrupt or lighter curve, you can play around with the gain knob of your Envelope Follower:

setting it at inferior values, for a less agressive touch of the eq, it may look something like this:

Also you can look up to 8 more parameters you can set in Envelope Follower
