It has been years since its original release, with a debut in 2006. Despite its age, Verbe is considered one of the best synthesizers around, and never ceased to amaze users.
A great offering is that you can find it completely free, via open source GitHub link. You will find installer, VST 64 and 32 bits versions and the source code.
Its synthesis method used is subtractive hybrid, and it has features like:
- 3 voice and 5 versatile, one classic, algorithmic, FM/ring modulator, noise and variable spectrum oscillators
- Filters as LP12, LP24, LP24L, HP12, HP24, BP, Notch, Comb+, Comb-, Waveshaper, and two filter units with 7 different configurations
- 12 LFO units
- 8 effects units
- 9 algorithms
All in all making this pretty easy to play with and get the sound you are looking for. With its built in patch browser (1010 presets available) you can go for one of the available presets, bringing your own contribution throughout available modulation.
